4th Annual Paella Fest

This Year Declared The Best Ever

A big Thank You to everyone involved in making the 4th annual Northwest Paella Festival the best ever. Paella magic was in the air as a record crowd of nearly 200 paella lovers raised the substantial sum of $3,027 for Food for Lane County. We did this while enjoying over 20 spectacular paellas, listening and dancing to extraordinary musicians under the towering oak trees, catching up with old friends and making new ones. It was truly a festival atmosphere.

The Paella Fest is made possible by the selfless efforts of too many people to name here. However there are some that are too important to go unnamed. So, special thanks to...

All of the paella makers for their time, food, energies, and love for paella. To Mo and Eric for the run of their hilltop paradise and all of the preparation, wear and tear and clean-up that goes with it. To the talented musicians: Steve for the sound system, setting up, breaking down and performing, and to Jon, Annalisa, Rick, Mike, Hilary and Randy. It was quality and it was fun! To Georganne and Paul for prizes. To Co, Lee and Mo for sangria, and Kevin for the Ninkasi (what a treat!). And to the numerous people who set up, cleaned up and just made it all happen (you know who you are). Thanks to Kim for building and maintaining the blog. Finally, thanks for all of the generous contributions to Food for Lane County. In these times that are hard for many, you made this event worthwhile on a whole new level.

Until next year... keep the paella magic alive.

Cheers, Don
